According to Apple, Google will equip the processor "homegrown" for Pixel 6?

According to a new report from 9to5Google, the Pixel 6 phones this year will likely use Google's custom processor.
The source said today that the upcoming Pixel 6 phones - codenamed "Raven" and "Oriole" - will use this custom SoC (system-on-chip). These products are part of a platform called "Slider", which also includes future Chromebook devices that will use the SoC. Internally known as the "Whitechapel" GS101 chip, the SoC that Google is developing appears to have been manufactured in cooperation with Samsung. This also means that the chip will have many similarities with Exynos, including software. According to the leak, Google's chip will have eight ARM CPU cores, with two Cortex-A78 cores, two Cortex-A76 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. It will also be powered by ARM's Mali GPU and will be manufactured using Samsung's 5nm process. The first two smartphones using Google's custom chip are expected to launch soon this year, with one of them being the Pixel 6 and the other presumably a cheaper variant. Unfortunately, it's still not clear when these phones will hit the market.
